The Newport Centre was opened in 1986 and is the city’s best rock music venue for audiences of up to 2,000. Over the years the Centre has hosted David Bowie, Led Zepellin and dozens of other high-profile acts.
One of the venue’s most attractive features is that it offers a ‘one-room arena’, allowing people to circulate within the space without losing sight of the stage.
When not in use for concerts, boxing matches or cage fighting displays, the Centre is open for everyday folk to practice their skills and improve their health.
